Known as the **"God-bearer"**, St. Ignatius was the third Bishop of Antioch after St. Peter and St. Euodios. He was a disciple of the Apostles Peter and John.

In 107 AD, he was martyred in Rome, leaving behind seven epistles that defined the structure and unity of the Early Church.
